The DSW is a truly amazing sub-woofer. It's sleek modern lines have been crafted to produce bass with the lowest levels of distortion possible from a subwoofer.
The cabinet contruction uses a combination of robust engineering materials specially selected to maximise the rigidity of the enlosure and minimise on distortion.
A 100,000 Tonne press is used to extrude the 6063 T5 Aerospace grade aluminium body in a dedicated facility in Bonn, Germany. The stainless steel base plate housing the German designed, twin 11 inch aluminium cone drive units is laser cut from 15mm thick plate. The drive units are in turn, mounted on specially constructed 25mm thick aluminium spacer rings in a tandem configuration for isbaric laoding. A 6mm thick 304 grade stainless steel tops the enclosure providing great rigidity to the structure. Power is provided courtesy of a robust 200 Watt bipolar amp with fully filtered input controls.
The isobaric loading into the extruded aluminium enclosure provides bass extension normally associated with enclosures twice this size. This unique isobaric technology improves drive unit linearity and minimises distortion, whilst significantly increasing system power handling.
